Downwind

2014

On top of a windy hill sits a cemetery.

Downwind lies an abandoned quarry.

Filled with water and overgrown - the space is lined with picnic tables, walking paths and hundreds of plastic flowers and artefacts.

Although displaced from their original gravestones from the hill above, the items bring with them a sense of loss, love and remembrance.

This work is simply a response to these unexpected items in a

re-contextualised environment and our societies rituals regarding memory and place.
